Dubai's Ambitious Plan: AI Taskforces to Finally Figure Out What Government Entities Actually Do

In a groundbreaking move, Dubai has formed special taskforces comprising "national talent" to tackle the age-old mystery of what exactly 30 government entities in the city are actually up to. Under the visionary guidance of Sheikh Hamdan, these taskforces will employ the latest cutting-edge technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), to shed light on the perplexing operations and services provided by the government.

The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), established with much fanfare, will oversee these taskforces and their noble quest for enlightenment. With the objective of enhancing government work and solidifying Dubai's position as a global tech leader, the DCAI hopes that AI will finally crack the code on what exactly the government does all day.

During the first meeting convened by the DCAI, attendees were given a crash course on the objectives and future focus of the center. Among the pressing issues discussed were identifying key sectors that might benefit from AI (because apparently, nobody has figured that out yet) and determining the technologies with the most potential to improve government performance (because, well, they could use some improvement).

To foster cooperation, the taskforces will collaborate not only with each other but also with local and global partners in the private sector. Because when you're trying to solve the mystery of government operations, nothing helps more than the input of private companies with their own profit-driven agendas.

Saeed Al Falasi, the director of the DCAI, proudly announced that the taskforces would consist of "national talent," individuals possessing the best AI skills and tools. These exceptional individuals will now be tasked with using their expertise to figure out what their own government entities are doing, by developing various AI applications. It's truly an ingenious plan to employ AI to solve the mystery of government bureaucracy with more government bureaucracy.

The taskforce members come from various government departments

In addition to this groundbreaking endeavor, the DCAI will also focus on attracting top global technological solutions. Because clearly, when you need to understand what your government is doing, you turn to companies from around the world, because who better to understand Dubai's unique intricacies than outsiders?

This initiative aligns perfectly with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who believes that AI should be applied to various sectors. And why not? After all, the generative AI sector is expected to grow to a staggering $110.8 billion by 2030. Who needs tangible outcomes or practical results when you can have exponential growth and mind-boggling numbers?

So, brace yourselves, citizens of Dubai, for the heroic AI taskforces are coming to finally shed light on the mysteries of government entities. With their advanced technology and national talent, they will surely crack the enigma of bureaucracy and deliver the answers we've all been desperately waiting for. Or maybe they'll just generate more buzzwords and keep us guessing. Only time will tell.
